Why Mini-Split?

  • LESS WASTED ENERGY

Ductless mini-split heat pumps are installed directly in the rooms you’re looking to keep comfortable. They don’t transport heated or cooled air via ductwork, which means no energy is wasted due to leaky ducts. Less energy waste means lower utility bills!

  • ULTRA-EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGY

Mini-split heat pump air conditioners are up to 40% more efficient than traditional window air conditioner units. They also provide ultra-efficient heating in the winter and can help you save money on your energy bills all year long.

  • ZONED CLIMATE CONTROL

Mini-splits can be individually controlled in the rooms in which they're installed, so everyone in your household can choose their own preferred temperature. You can also use them individually in each room that they are needed and that will save you even more money without sacrificing comfort.

  • A mini-split system provides a permanent air conditioning solution for your home that is just as effective as a central air system, but with even more control. Through the combination of an outdoor unit (condenser) and up to several indoor units (evaporators), mini-splits are a cost effective way to bring cooling to any room in your home without the need for ductwork.

  • Since each indoor unit has its own controls and local temperature sensor, you can cool as many or as little rooms as you have units in. With the correct upgrades, smart features can be enabled on a phone app to set zones and other automatic features as well, giving you the exact amount of control for your needs. And since mini-split systems don’t require ductwork, they can be installed virtually anywhere.

As a bonus, all mini-split systems installed by Heritage also double as heat pumps when the temperatures drop. Essentially an AC running in reverse, heat pump technology allows you to heat your home down to outside temperatures of about 35°F for standard units, or -13°F if you upgrade to a hyper heat system, allowing you to heat your home even on the coldest days.

  • Absolutely! In fact, most existing ductwork shouldn’t be expanded upon because it was designed to accommodate the exact size and airflow needs of your existing system. In a situation where you may have added an addition to your home, or you just want to bring cooling/heat to a newly finished space, a heat pump may be right for you.
